Atlantis Kite Beach

This spot on the southwest coast of Bonaire is the most popular location for kiteboarding. With stable winds and a large water surface, it’s perfect for both beginners and experienced kiteboarders. Here, you’ll find several kiteboarding schools, equipment rentals, and a vibrant community of kiteboarders.

Pink Beach

This location features an offshore wind, no lifeguard service, and very flat water. Additionally, it experiences slightly more wind than the kite spot at Atlantis. This spot is suitable for more experienced kiteboarders. Pink Beach got its name from the pink sand that was once created by eroded shells and coral. Although the pink sand disappeared due to a hurricane, the name has persisted.

Red Slave

In the southernmost part of Bonaire lies this kiteboarding spot, named after the slave huts found there. Due to the stronger winds, rougher ocean conditions, and the restriction to kite only in the dark blue area, this location is suited for experienced kiteboarders.

Klein Bonaire

If you plan to kiteboard at the uninhabited island of Klein Bonaire, you first need to take a water taxi to get there. It is a spot with warm offshore winds and flat water. Officially, kiteboarding is not permitted in the light blue water, so make sure to go at least 75 meters into the water. There are also really nice beaches here to have a relaxing day,

Playa Grandi

Playa Grandi is a challenging spot with high waves and many rocks, making it suitable only for expert-level kiteboarders.

Lac Bay (not for kiteboarding!)

Lac Bay is world-renowned for windsurfing, and this magical spot attracts windsurfers from all around the globe. Unfortunately, kiteboarding is not allowed here due to safety concerns. Only windsurfing, wingfoiling, and windfoiling are permitted.
